The boring life of Jerod Poore, Crazymeds' Chief Citizen Medical Expert.

The world is neither surreal nor postmodern enough for me

I picked up a call that was on hold and the LA talent agent that was on the other end was muttering "with your dentures and your eyeliner, you dirty old bitch".

I guess she didn't love his nuts.

She chopped. He slapped.

ShamWow Guy In Slap, Chop Bust

Perhaps someone was a bit too enthusiastic, or there are some rather imaginative uses for a ShamWow.
Then again, either or both of them could be medication crazy, in which case they could use a
You're Gonna Love My Nuts! shirt.

What do you think?

You bet the Internet is just like high school

I finally had my yearbook picture taken. I.e. I now have a Facebook page. Why? Someone invited me. I'm socially indifferent, it's all the same to me.

It's probably set up incorrectly. That would just figure.

As if anyone were reading this, one might have noticed the ever-expanding list of sites that are far better to read. It's just a reflection on how I'm avoiding my life. I'm coming to terms with giving up.

Too in tune with the zeitgeist

It's like this, I know that people can't afford overpriced shirts now. There's no orgy of spending like there was during the five years I had the concept and letters and everything, but was too caught up in everything else in my life. I know it's a futile endeavor. It can fail any number of ways or make just enough to keep the shop open. There's no disappointment this way. I've had enough failure and disappointment of late. So I'm beyond caring, as with so many other things.

It's hard enough for me to care enough to barely keep my life together on a daily basis. Rather on those days when I'm not too depressed or sick with something (like today) to try to catch up with everything piled up around me. I'm far too ready to put up a dowry of $1,000 per cat and let someone else take care of the mess.

In any event I've currently got over 40 designs up at Straight Jacket t-shirts. The site has been reorganized a bit to make it easier, I hope, to browse through several hundred shitty shirts. More designs are planned.

New layout and shirts at Straight Jacket T-Shirts

Bad timing has been such a large part my life's narrative for these past four years, so why should I stop now. When do I finally get it together to crank out designs for shirts? When no one has the money for $25 t-shirts, that's when. Would working on the Crazy Meds site be more productive? Of course it would. Which do you think helps me more to deal with the near-crippling depression I've been experiencing with for coming up on two years now? Hey, you got it in one.

I've added new & improved versions of the Depression Sucks, Fuck Depression, Bipolar Sucks and Fuck Bipolar lines of shirts, including the addition of plus size shirts. There's also an OCD variant. I've added the plus sizes to the Lab Rat series and I'll be adding plus sizes to other designs.

Some of the new designs include:

Batshit Crazy
Extra Medication For All!
I Love My Meds
I'm So Happy I Could Kill Myself
You're Gonna Love My Nuts

and more.

I've also divided the virtual store into different sections, so the annoyance factor of trying to find a shirt you like should be somewhere between an urban Goodwill and Hot Topic.

It doesn't cost anything to browse at Straight Jacket T-Shirts. The Fail Blog-worthy product names (e.g. You're Gonna Love My Nuts Women +Size ScoopShirt)are worth the price of admission.

Valentine's day is fast approaching. Instead of saying it with flowers and/or chocolate, why not say it with pills?

You or someone in your life might be just crazy enough to want their medication do their talking. I have more designs in the works. Getting said designs off of paper and onto teh Interwebs is all a matter of where in the depressed part of the bipolar spectrum I am and how much of a disaster my life is at the time.

We're back on the air!

The Crazy Meds Talk forum is back on the air.

We have a good idea as to what happened, and are working on ways of preventing it. If all else fails I can restrict the forum so that only members can read it. I'd rather not have it like that, but at least I have a fallback position.

Still down

Still down. I'm working with Invision and the domain host. Turns out I had flood control on after all. Some idiot found a new and improved way to fuck things up or a spammer was trying to circumvent flood control.

Invision support just got back to me. There's no official way to prevent that sort of thing. I'm going to have to look through third party modifications. What fun.

Sorry the Crazy Meds Talk Forum is Still Down

There was a massive spambot attack around 4:00 a.m. Pacific time. I thought I had disabled the ability for someone to post more than once in X seconds, but I guess not. In any event the spambot had a shitload of topics open at the same time, posting all at once and that was using up more bandwidth and CPU processing than I pay for, so the domain host disabled the forum script.

After I figured out what happened and the vendor recommending making the change through the software, I explained everything in my ticket with the domain host, so I'm waiting for them host to re-enable the software so I can make the necessary changes. I already put the dick's IP address in the domain-level ban they have available. That was 2.5 hours ago, so I don't know what's taking so long.

Getting Out The Vote, Getting Rid of Spam

I've added a few things to the Obama Prayer Cards site.

There are now two cards for each selection. Why waste the paper? Keep one and give one away. There's a little mixing and matching.

I've also added a prayer for getting out the vote. It's not all that original, as I just kludged together three existing prayers, including one for community organizing. There was no saint acting as an intermediary for that one, even if it is a Catholic prayer.

Plus I've made a crappy banner for the get out the vote drive using my pill font:

Get Out The Vote or here's your prescription plan.

Click on the above thumbnail for a full size .jpg There's also a version with a transparent background and .png (for printing) versions at the Obama Prayer Cards site.

As for the spam, we had a problem with that earlier this month at Crazy Meds. Someone developed a spambot that could get past the Captcha portion of registration. Fortunately an upgrade with the latest version of Captcha put an end to that.

Forum is back up

We're on the air again. With any luck something like this won't happen again.

HAH!

Back to my life sucking same amount of ass it was two days ago.

Sorry the Crazy Meds Talk Forum is Down

There was a hiccup in getting the regular upgrades from IPB paid for. As that slipped past me there was something in the older version that caused way too much processing time to get used on the domain host. Something along the lines of 32-33% of the CPU at one point. So they had to disable the forum software and I can't blame them. They even gave me a daily heads-up about something like that being possible starting a few days ago, but it took that long to straighten out the issue with IPB.

IPB has since been updated to the latest version and the forum should be available again soon.

As if my life didn't suck enough ass as it does already...

Saint Obama de Mo'Crats - Take 2

I've set up a website just for the Saint Obama prayer cards:

ObamaPrayerCards.com

They depict Senator Barack Obama as St. Martin de Porres and are part of my small effort to raise money for the Obama | Biden campaign. It's a fine Catholic tradition from the late Middle Ages & early Rennaissance to use political figures as the models for religious paintings. Venice and Florence are full of paintings, stained glass, sculptures, etc. of saints, angels, etc. with the faces of Borgias (and not just St. Francis Borgia), de'Medicis, etc.

It should be easier now to print & laminate / tape together the prayer cards.

Still More T-Shirts

It's the only thing I can get motivated to do lately. I'm going through a nasty period of demotivation. It's hard to give a rat's ass about doing much of anything.

I've been messing around with things, so perhaps they don't look as crappy as they did before. The original "fuck bipolar" and "bipolar sucks" etc. still look rather craptastic, but the more recent shirts should look better. I did enhance the Lab Rat shirt, as that is popular (i.e. some people have actually purchased that one). There's a new picture as well, although the old one is still available in all it's craptastic glory.

They are also available in different colors and shirt styles. Because freedom of choice is what we're all about, right?

Additionally there are new designs:

Crazy Meds: The Good, The Bad And The Funny (for those who have requested a shirt advertising the site)

Contents Under Pressure

Take As Directed

Another Lab Rat Taking Crazymeds

Feeling Like A Lab Rat Taking Crazymeds

Plus I've expanded the types of shirts and colors available. So in all there are 10 designs (in addition to the originals) available in 8 shirt styles with varying color options per style.

Choices, it's all about choices.

Straight Jacket T-Shirts. Tell the group how you really feel using real pills.

Who knows, maybe I'll be able to start working on Crazy Meds again.

New Shirts at Straight Jacket T-Shirts

At my Cafe Press store, Straight Jacket T-Shirts, I have some new, craptastic, overpriced short- and long-sleeved black shirts in Crazy Meds' singular Pill Font joining the existing craptastic, overpriced short- and long-sleeved black shirts in said font.

Now available are shirts reading:

Mentally Interesting
Medicated For Your Protection
Go Away!
Brain Cooties Aren't Contagious

and, inspired by a med-related Jonathan Coulton song:

I Feel Fantastic!
I Always Take My Medicine

Saint Obama de Mo'Crats

I haven't been doing much on Crazy Meds for a variety of reasons. Demotivation being the main one. I can't do much of anything in my life these days. I'm in a sort of Limbo as the days pass by and I'm waiting for something to fall from the sky to turn things around. I'm down to external forces at work. Everything else seems so pointless.

I keep on top of the forum as best I can, out of some sense of responsibility more than anything else.

All I can really do in the way of anything is get all political. I'd be volunteering to work for Senator Obama's campaign were it not for the crippling agoraphobia, social avoidance, random medication-induced lethargy that prevents me from doing much more than feeding the cats, the odd seizure and periods of depression. Other than that I'd be good to go.

So I thought of something stupid to raise money. Some people on the right have used the term "Saint Obama" in a disparaging way, in that the senator's supporters see him as not being able to do wrong, he'll solve all of our problems, and that speech he gave after securing the nomination with the bit about lowering the waters was right out of the book of Exodus.

Take a look at Saint Martin de Porres. He is the patron saint of: interracial relations, social justice, public education, public health service, people of mixed race, animal shelters, and Italian barbers and hairdressers. I get the barbers and hairdressers, as back in his day barbers did surgery and he was trained to do both. Why only Italian stylists get to claim his patronage is beyond me. And his feast day is November 3rd, the day before this year's election. One of the good luck charms Senator Obama carries around with him all the time is a St. Martin de Porres figure.

So it seemed fitting, or at least somewhere in that interzone of satire, sacred and sacrilege, to make up prayer cards depicting Senator Barack Obama as St. Martin de Porres. Actually it's not all that sacrilegious. Back in the good old days of the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance political figures were used as the models for religious icons all the freaking time in England, France, Spain and Italy. This is actually a fine old Catholic tradition.

And what prayer cards would be complete without some prayers to go on the back?

First a traditional prayer to St. Martin de Porres:

To you Saint Martin de Porres we prayerfully lift up our hearts filled with serene confidence and devotion. Mindful of your unbounded and helpful charity to all levels of society and also of your meekness and humility of heart, we offer our petitions to you. Pour out upon our families the precious gifts of your solicitous and generous intercession; show to the people of every race and every color the paths of unity and of justice; implore from our Father in heaven the coming of his kingdom, so that through mutual benevolence in God men may increase the fruits of grace and merit the rewards of eternal life. Amen.

Now a tongue-in-cheek prayer to St. Obama de Mo'Crats:

St. Obama, you always had sympathy for the poor and the young. I need your help and now ask for it with great confidence in your goodness, power and charisma. Please remember me after November. I turn to you in my sorrow and anxiety to seek your friendly protection. Please intercede for me with our merciful Father in heaven so that I may finally get health insurance and a real job. Ask that I might have something of your spirit of love, hope and change, and so be at all times be in God's and the bank's good graces. Oh heavenly Father, in the name of your Son and of His blessed Mother, and by the merits of your faithful servant Obama, help me in my trouble and do not forsake me. Amen.

You need only print the picture and prayer you desire, laminate them and you have your very own St. Obama card to keep you safe!

Of course it wouldn't be an official prayer card if money wasn't involved. Please donate what you can at my fundraising page. Donations are optional.

I looked for a Spanish-language prayer to St. Martin de Porres, but couldn't find one that I was sure was for a prayer card. I know I couldn't find a Spanish translation of the one I used, based on specific key words, and I wasn't about to trust a software-based translation. So any pointers to such would be appreciated.

I also looked for a Catholicky prayer for the Obama family. Or at least Senator Obama. No luck either.

Had I a whit of artistic talent and Photoshop I could have made something better than just pasting a picture of Barrack Obama's face over the traditional images on popular prayer cards. I'm a writer and an idea guy. Anyone familiar with Poppin' Zits! knows that my "art" consisted of poorly-executed collages.

Hysterical over the Crazy

With the one year anniversary of the Virginia Tech event coming up, lazy reporters with nothing else to cover (e.g. the ongoing genocides in Darfur and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, rural pharmacies closing because of how Medicare Part D screws everyone except the drug companies, not enough celebutantes going on rampages, etc.) are not just focusing on the crazy for something that happened now, but are focusing on the crazy for something that happened a year ago.

In Hysterical over the Crazy I give you links to more studies than you had in study hall about how we don't commit more violent crimes than people who don't have brain cooties, yet we're portrayed as being the ones who are way more dangerous to be around. There are even bits about how we're way more likely to be the victims of violent crimes than the Pinks.

Updates to Crazy Meds 9 April 2008

  • I added the Mental Health news feed from Dr. Grohol's site to the contents frame. So just keep scrolling down until you find it. Dr. Gohol's page opens in the contents frame, so just expand it to read. Deal with my crappy web design. A new page just for that feature didn't make any sense, and plugging it onto every page didn't either. I know I suck. Don't expect design improvements any time soon.

  • I've added a translator gadget to a variety of .shtml pages, e.g. Invega. So you're no longer a slave to Anglo imperialism. I tried out the French version, as that's the one language that I have the best chance of reading all of the text and understanding at least 80% of what I read, and am pleased with the translation. Not too much franglais, and only a few things that were lost. Fortunately all of the technical stuff seems to make sense. It's my ranting around the real information that goes into Dada territory. Some other European languages don't look too bad. As for the languages in non-Roman scripts, you're on your own. If and when I update other pages I'll try to add this gadget to them as well. No promises.

  • I'm working with Google to resolve the annoying problem where searches don't return results for www.crazymeds.us/ pages, just pages on the Crazy Meds Talk forum.

Updates to Crazy Meds Site

03/12/2008 -

  • Do you know about that new analysis showing how antidepressants should be used only when people are truly, severely depressed, otherwise said antidepressants are no better than placeboes? You know, the sort of thing I've been writing about since this site began? Well guess what is being added all over the place? That's right, every time a page about an antidepressant (more-or-less) gets updated. And, of course, the page about antidepressants.
  • As numerous people pointed out I had an bout of induction / inhibition dyslexia when I initially wrote the Luvox page. I thought I had corrected that. Apparently not. It's corrected now, along with foreign availability names (in the future to be listed toward the bottom of the page or on the How to Buy page for all meds as updated), prices and something else I'll try to add to med pages: which generics have been rated as being within the 20% range of bioequivalence / bioavailability.
  • Updated Wellbutrin's overseas availability, added rated generics, but the pages bibliography back as it got clobbered at some point, updated sample costs, fixed the Korean font yet again, and copied the PI sheet locally as GSK Korea insists on moving it around.
  • Updated the bibliography to include the tasty 2007 edition of Mosby's Drug Consult I'm now using.

Straight Jacket T-Shirts now open for business

It's been four years since Jef Pozkanzer of Acme Labs took the pictures of all of the pills that I arranged into the letters of the Pill Font. Not long after that I designed the first shirt - the lab rat shirt. At that time Cafe Press didn't do black long sleeve shirts, and, being the artiste that I am, well, I had to have the whole long sleeve thing. Why? Because of all the cutters out there, that's why!

In any event, now that my life is a complete train wreck, I figured I may as well try to bring in another $10 a month selling shirts.

Straight Jacket T-Shirts - where you can find all the overpriced, crapalicious shirts you'll never need that spell out things in letters comprised of actual pills, from Ativan to Zyprexa.

And if you want to spell out some stuff yourself, only in gray scale, use Jef's label maker and select the Pill Font.

Crazy Meds Talk ver 9.0 is Back!

Crazy Meds' forum Crazy Meds Talk is back on the air, thanks to the support people at Invision Power Board. People who know what support means, unlike those lying, rapacious bastards at 1 & 1 Internet.

So spread the word that were are back, and to update all links.

Discussion on the site itself about all the shit going on is happening on this topic.

1&1 Internet - Liars. Thieves. Bigots. And/or Merely Incompetent

1&1 Internet Inc., a.k.a. 1and1.com, 1&1.co.uk, 1&1 Webhosting, 1&1 Internet Ltd, etc. ranks pretty high in domain hosts people love to hate. I've got extra special reasons to hate them and for people to avoid them. I've been actively trying to get crazymeds.org redeemed from 1&1.com since 27 October. This is due to 1&1 Webhosting's incompetent billing department sending the 60-day the domain registration expiration notice to the long-dead account jerod23@well.com. In spite of being lied to by someone in said incompetent billing department back in March or April of 2005 that the billing address to be used from that point forward was to be the primary address at crazymeds.org.

That certainly didn't happen, as when the credit card I used to register crazymeds.COM (subsequently squatted, because 1&1 Internet Inc.'s domain registration software is so fucked up they often can't get it right), later crazymeds.ORG expired. Did the billing department notify me of that? How could they? They were still sending e-mail to jerod23@well.com! What did they do when they got a bounce message? Bother to do a whois? Oh that would be way too much work!

So I owed them money, and that was the problem we had back in August. At that point I didn't care about paying $40 for a charge stemming from something that was there fault. A problem that coincided with the pussies at Limp Dick, er Hard Hat Hosting getting their panties in a twist about my linking to this blog when I was defending myself against libel. That they construed as libel and kicked me off with little notice. Just in time for the desipramine I was taking to impact the shit in me to tear my colon.

So for everyone out there, you were right, I was literally full of shit. And hospitalized with internal bleeding. Hence a longer delay than needed to get Crazy Meds back up.

I have an e-mail I'll be publishing as a response to this posting where it is written confirming what I was told on the phone, that my e-mail address would be changed.

Lied to yet again by 1&1 Internet Ltd. Because All this happened before the 60 notice, so nothing every went to crazymeds.org, it all kept being sent to the long-defunct address of jerod23@well.com

Once Crazy Meds was gone I was hit with ultradian rapid cycling. Those of you who know about it can understand why I was disabled. Those of you who don't: I was too fucking crazy to do anything.

Regardless, on 30 October I asked the key questions regarding what I needed to do to redeem the site.

I didn't get an answer until a few days ago. The morons behind the address transfer@
1&1.co.uk / working at the Slough office of 1&1 Internet Ltd kept up with their circular logic of if Situation D then Situation A had to have happened. If Situation A happened than that was because of Situation B. Situation B occurs only with Situation C, which usually doesn't happen but can, and Situation C always precludes Situation D. And whenever you have Situation C, that was because Situation A happened.

Work it out with a pencil.

Ultimately I needed a form to change my billing address. Some form that no one ever told me about.

Then there's the key piece of information on how to redeem crazymeds.org: fill out another form. I was told about that back on 30 October and I had questions.

Questions I kept asking.

Questions that weren't answered until 14 November.

I had to register another domain with those fucktards just to get crazymeds.org back.

Fine. I did.

What to you know? No confirmation e-mail. Nothing. No response from their complaints department (ever), no response from the chowderheads at
transfer@1&1.co.uk or billing@1and1.com about why there is no knew domain just so I can redeem crazymeds.org?

This is going beyond incompetence.

So while incompetence, lying and covering their asses regarding their fuck-ups and lies still is about 80% of my probability for guessing as to why this has happened to me, there are still to other possibilities, each with 10% probability assigned to them.

1) 1&1.com / 1 and 1 Internet Inc. are thieves. Crazy Meds was grossing around US$60,000 a year with my shitty design. With 11,000 links to the site and a spiffy makeover, who knows what sort of revenue they could get.

2) 1&1.co.uk /
1&1 Internet Ltd / Schlund + Partner AG are bigots. They don't want anyone like me (bipolar, epileptic, autistic) earning a living helping people like you. There is a recent history in Germany of treating people like me as sub-human. The concentration camp model began in 1934, complete with small-scale mass executions. By 1940 the classic mass murder of the mentally interesting began, and around 200,000 of us were rounded up and cremated by the war's end. We were the first to be rounded up, but it wasn't until 2002 the the US Holocaust Memorial deigned to mention that we lead the way on the march to death.

And it's not as if that sort of stuff doesn't happen any more. The Serbian Government locks up and more or less starves us to death.
Or just denies treatment. Whichever is easier.

I'm used to being treated as less than human. It's why I spent thirty years doing my best to pass as one. That's getting more and more difficult these days, so it looks as if I'm fair game now by the likes of bigots such as these. Given that I live on another continent, I guess ruining my livelihood is the best that 1 & 1 Internet Ltd. can do to me.

I'll let you make up your own mind about why 1&1.com is making my life hell and ruining my business. At this point they seem to be intentionally running down the clock so the redemption period ends and they get to keep the domain. So they could be the most incompetent domain registrars on the planet, or it really is one or both of thieves and/or bigots.

to get a better idea of what 1&1 Internet is like, read up on some other people's experiences:

Jeff Croft wrote about his experiences with their fucked up "service" in 1&1 Internet is the devil.
I had problems similar to Jeff's back when I was using 1&1 Webhosting as a shared server domain host.

Chris Beach had problems on a larger scale and had the privilege of being charged money for complaining. Read about it in Avoid 1&1 Internet.

As I wrote I have e-mail. This time I have proof of their incompetence, ass-covering and circular logic. I need Scott Adams to make it funny, because it's right out of Dilbert. Given that the UK offices of
1&1.co.uk / 1&1 Internet Ltd are based in Slough, Ricky Gervais might be more appropriate. E-mails will be posted as responses, as this initial post has gone on long enough. Plus I'm into day three of an aura, so I'm not up to sitting in front of the desktop that has my POP e-mail.

www.crazymeds.us now up

Crazy Meds is now available under the .us domain. I may or may not be able to get the .org domain back, as that's still going through 1&1 Internet's byzantine and obtuse bureaucracy.

Only the drug information pages are available. The forum will have to wait until I know exactly which domain I'll be using. Likewise there's no call to change existing links from crazymeds.org to crazymeds.us that people might have on websites all over the place. If you do, that's fine, as crazymeds.us will resolve to crazymeds.org if I manage to recover crazymeds.org

I do need some help from people who know something: why the hell aren't any images coming up? I have the files available, all of the permissions are correct and I'll even explicitly use "http://www.crazymeds.us/" within the img src tag. Yet if you were to try a view image you'd be redirected to crazymeds.org. What the fuck? I don't see anything on the page nor on the index.htm file that specifically points to crazymeds.org, but I could be missing something.

And for everyone who has registered other domains, offered other domains to me, etc, please e-mail me. Only people who actually have domains, and not everyone who just came up with a domain name. I just want to get contact, DNS and other information synchronized so everything points to the same place.

For everyone offering to go out and register domains on their own and have them point to the site, here is the information for everything in the .com, .net, .info and .biz universe (.org is part of a long story which I'll be publishing soon):

Administrative Contact Name: Jerod Poore
Administrative Contact Organization: Crazy Meds
Administrative Contact Address1: PO Box 8091
Administrative Contact City: Missoula
Administrative Contact State/Province: MT
Administrative Contact Postal Code: 59807
Administrative Contact Country: United States
Administrative Contact Country Code: US
Administrative Contact Phone Number: I'll e-mail this to you
Administrative Contact Email: jerod23 here at gmail dot com.

The safest thing is to redirect the domain to the IP address:
74.50.8.219

I'd love to have domains outside of the US. Someone has a crazymeds.co.uk registered. Those require addresses in their registered countries. Contact me about getting a PO box I'll pay for or something. Then you can sign up for free computer magazines using the company name. More junk mail for all!

It just never ends

Now the domain registration is locked up.

It usually just updated automagically. For some reason the nimrods at 1&1 dot com decided not to renew it.

Fuck if I know why.

So I have a bunch of support tickets open all over the place.

I thought billing issues were resolved, e-mail addresses were updated, that domain registrars may have even been transfered.

Of course none of that happened. I'll bet 1&1 dot com sent the warning of domain expiration to the long-unused and now invalid e-mail address I used when I created the domain. The one I changed on the control panel years ago. The one they wrote to me in an e-mail that they changed a couple years back when there was a bandwidth problem. The one that I was told they would no longer use and use yet another one when I had the aforementioned billing problem.

Lied to again by 1&1 dot com.

I'm cursed. That's all there is to it.

I own a bunch of other domains just because I was pissed off at the original domain squatter of crazymeds dot com. The one who swooped down and grabbed that after a problem when I tried to register that domain at 1 & 1 dot com back in 2003. But who the fuck is going to look up stuff at the .us, .biz or .info domains?

So crazymeds.org was picked up by yet another squatter.

I guess that's it. Life goes on. I'll find something else to do. I should have expected it. Every job I liked has lasted four to five years and then due to outside forces the job was gone.

Pacific Molasses: The data center moved to Cedar Rapids, IA.

Transcisco Rail Services: Bought out by Trinity Industries, corporate HQ moved to Dallas and pretty much disassembled.

DFS (Duty Free Shoppers), a division of LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennesy): I was hired by DFS prior to their being bought by LVMH. As the responsibility for the nifty software that
I helped develop that got products from warehouses and vendors to the stores, and helped to predict how much would be required based on trends and holiday travel (there's a name for that, but I can't remember it) was being transfered to a few guys in Bangalore, 9/11 hit. Air travel tanked. One third of the IT staff was let go.

After that things went really south mentally. I pretty much forgot how to program. It was really weird.

Lately I've had all sorts of additional symptoms, so it was harder and harder to do any work on the site anyway.
